Selco Recognises Long Serving Colleagues
More than 250 colleagues who have achieved over 2,000 years of collective service have been recognised for their commitment to Selco Builders Warehouse.
The leading builders merchant has rewarded those colleagues who have reached notable landmarks in their careers with the fast-growing business over the last 12 months.
Sean Heffernan, a member of the finance team based at the Support Centre in Wythall, near Birmingham, topped the charts with 35 years of service, while regional director Kelvin Coe celebrated three decades with Selco.
Paul Mead, who works at the Cardiff Llanishen branch, achieved a quarter of century with Selco while three other colleagues, Martina Onwunaje (Stirchley), Lynda Cooper (Swansea) and David Turner (Coventry) all accumulated 20 years’ service.
In addition, 39 colleagues have spent 15 years with Selco, 44 have achieved a decade’s service while a further 167 are looking to a bright future having notched five years.
Marc Lucock, HR director, said: “Throughout the last 12 months, we have recognised 256 colleagues who have all delivered exceptional service to Selco.
“We are extremely grateful for the contributions of all of our colleagues and proud to have such a sizeable number who have elected to spend a large chunk of their careers with Selco.
“We are committed to providing outstanding career opportunities for colleagues to progress and have an extensive training programme in place to help them achieve that.
