The Job

Our digital services have seen rapid growth in recent years and we have invested in the channel to ensure we differentiate Selco within the builders merchant sector.  We’re looking for somebody with the following:

  • Two years’ experience of working with web CMS systems such as Magento.
  • Experience of launching marketing campaigns.
  • Experience of working with website tools for Merchandising, Site Search, Surveys etc.
  • Proficient with Google Tools like Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console.
  • Experience of multi-tasking to tight deadlines/priorities.

We’ll provide scope to learn and experiment within a supportive digital team.

Our customers rightly demand great service, but they love a bit of banter too.  You’ll need to be customer focussed, a team player who is able to work with others, resourceful with drive and enthusiasm.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage and optimise Site Search functionality to improve search results and promote relevant offers.

  • Merchandising of products on the website. Including optimising product information, imagery and order of products.

  • Manage a Digital Marketing Plan each month to schedule content updates and campaigns.

  • Implement digital marketing campaigns across website and ensure the website is accurate and up to date.

  • Optimise and improve the online journey using available web tools and by recommending and testing new functionality.

  • Identify opportunities to increase sales and Average Order Value.

  • Test and measure changes identifying both successful and negative impacts.

  • Add value to digital marketing activity by proposing new activity and new messages to engage with online customers.

  • Review competitor activity and the wider online landscape to recommend new initiatives that could improve Selco’s online activity.

  • Work with internal stakeholders, such as the product team and the studio, to agree, prioritise and design web campaigns and content.

  • Work with external partners, such as the web development and media agencies, to develop and implement new initiatives.

  • Create new media assets which work across digital channels.

  • Assist with customer issues arising from the website.
