The Job

  • Monitor and analyse data related to incidents of loss or theft, identifying trends to develop and implement loss mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, in particular working closely with the Heads of Department and Regional Trading Directors, to share intelligence, identify threats and address areas of vulnerability.
  • Develop and maintain robust loss prevention policies and procedures aligned to industry standards, regulatory requirements and business strategy.
  • Develop and implement branch training programmes to educate colleagues on security measures and best practice.
  • Support profit protection actively across the branch network, delivery hubs and the Selco distribution centre
  • Monitor surveillance systems and security equipment to ensure effectiveness.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and innovations and recommend enhancements and improvements.
  • Liaise cross functionally to update and manage the Business Risk Register
  • Manage a team of field-based profit protection specialists and office-based support team to achieve the Selco profit protection strategy.
  • Utilise the field-based teams to conduct regular audits and assessments of security protocols and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external partners such as security firms, CCTV monitoring companies and out of hours services.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on profit protection activities, performance and outcomes.
  • Act as subject matter expert for the business on security, risk and legal & regulatory compliance.
  • Undertake any additional projects that may be required as defined by the Senior Leadership Team or Grafton Group

  • Candidates to be aware that this is a hybrid position with a mixture of office based (Wythall), field and home working.

  • Proven experience in a senior profit protection role is essential. 
  • A track record of developing and embedding effective strategies and processes.
  • Experience conducting corporate investigations and interviews. 
  • Experience writing investigation reports and statements.
