The Person  

We are looking for an IT Business Analyst with previous experience of working on multiple end to end IT projects using waterfall and agile methodologies. Previous experience in a retail or supply chain environment would be favourable.

Skills

  • Good working knowledge of project lifecycle, techniques and methodologies (agile and waterfall)
  • Business analysis skills and developing knowledge of analysis tools and techniques
  • Understanding of the business and its drivers

  • Have the ability to make things happen, a hands-on approach, delivery focused with an emphasis on practical results
  • Can prioritise, multi-task and plan effectively

The Role

The size of the IT footprint at Selco is growing and we need an experienced IT Business Analyst to join the team. You will be part of a supportive and collaborative team to help deliver change.

Your normal working week will be 40 hours Monday to Friday, however you will be required to provide some evening and weekend working to support the deployment of change, so flexibility is needed.

Key Accountabilities

  • Understand commercial drivers and business strategy to ensure appropriate project prioritisation
  • Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, provide communication to ensure business ownership
  • Work with stakeholders to establish how best to implement strategy using the existing system, or identifying required change
  • Contributing to functional strategy. Business Analysts will be developing a detailed knowledge of the business processes and systems.
  • Contribute and to assist stakeholders in the production of any required documentation; including, but not exclusively, Requirements, Business Cases, Project Initiation, Project Plans, Handover to BAU, Lessons Learned reviews and Management Reports.
